The Big Picture
Before we dive into the details, it’s worth taking a step back to remember the ultimate game we’re playing: the primary focus of this program is to help you more and more consistently show up as the best version of yourself—and support you in helping others to more and more consistently show up as the best versions of themselves, too.
Actualizing your potential and serving profoundly.
That happens by exploring and embodying this wisdom, practicing the Optimize Protocol diligently, patiently, persistently, and playfully — and moment to moment to moment stepping into the gap between stimulus and response and closing the gap between who you’re capable of being and who you’re actually being.
So with that, what’s your target?
What do you want?
If you could wave your wand and create your ideal within Energy, Work, and Love over the next few months and years, what would it look like?
Get clear on what you want to use the work we’re doing together in service towards, then show up with the intentionality required to make that a reality.
The Mastery Series
The Mastery Series videos are the primary distillation of the Optimize protocol and the foundation of our program. Completing them—and doing the required practices they introduce—is your top priority!
Pick a time in your week that works best for you to watch the Mastery Series content, and schedule it in your calendar. Treat that time as you would a commitment with your boss/role model/mentor/Coach/the best version of yourself.
Be Diligent With the Coach Core Wisdom
The key here, just like with the Mastery Series, is to put time on your calendar for completing a piece of Core Wisdom, ideally on a daily basis. Find when works for you, and then soak yourself in the Ancient Wisdom and Modern Science of the Optimize library… day by day by day, +1 +1 +1.
If you do that, you WILL complete the required Core Wisdom. (Even if it takes you well beyond the official “end” of this program. Your Diploma Declaration will be ready and waiting for you!)
You'll find required +1s, PhilosopherNotes, and 101 Master Classes contained within your Coach Modules.
The Fundamentals Matter!
Depending on where you are in the program, you may not have learned all of the fundamentals or their associated practices.
No need to jump ahead if we haven't gotten there yet, but here are the fundamentals that help us to show up at our best:
🥗 Eat: Follow a nutritional protocol that supports you in maintaining (or actively moving towards) a WHtR of ≤ 0.5.
🏃♀️ Move: 30 minutes of continuous movement or 10k steps (average).
😴 Sleep: Turn off electronics one hour before going to bed.
👃 Breathe: Train Optimal breathing patterns for at least three minutes a day.
🎯 Focus: Meditate for eleven minutes.
🙏 Celebrate: Complete a gratitude practice.
📖 Prosper: Complete the Carpe Diem Journal.
And, even if you aren’t seeking an official certification, practicing the fundamentals is one of the BEST ways to go from Theory to Practice to Mastery.
For Level 1 Certification, the Fundamentals must be done at least five out of seven days a week. (This will become the expectation towards the end of the program. If you haven't yet learned these practices then you aren't expected to be practicing them at this level of consistency.)
Whenever you complete a Fundamental practice or something that helps you show up at your best, remember to CELEBRATE.
Connect With Your Optimize Buddy
The Optimize Buddy relationship can be incredibly powerful.
Of course, just as there are no perfect human beings, there are no perfect relationships! Which is why you will each need to bring a shared commitment to growth, communication, and flexibility.
Create space to connect with one another—in a short message once a week, or a dedicated call times, or maybe even a local meeting—and BE the kind of Optimize Buddy that you wish you had.
Spartan Race or Energetic Best Alternative
Energy is what fuels our Work and Love. Finding a new energetic best during the course of this program will allow us to reach new levels of productivity and creativity in our Work, and new levels of presence and connectivity in our Love and relationships.
Whenever possible, we love to gather as a community to conquer a Spartan Race. Why? Because Obstacles Make Me (Us) Stronger: OMMS.
And, if you can't make it, you're welcome to propose an alternative.
During the program we'll share a form whereby you can share how you intend to show up at your best.
So that you can start planning, here are the two components of an Energetic Best Alternative:
1 - The challenge must be a demonstration of you showing up at your athletic and energetic best given the constraints of your reality. We want to stretch but not snap.
2 - Community. When participating in a Race or similar look to invite others and go as "Team Optimize." Otherwise, how can your action also support or encourage someone else in achieving a goal they may have? Remember, hērōs have strength for two.

Move from Theory to Practice via the Fundamentals.
Be the best Optimize Buddy possible.
Reach for a new Energetic Best.
Selectively Participate in Live Coaching. As AMAZINGLY AWESOME as all of these Luminary and Live Coaching calls are, they are OPTIONAL, bonus components of the program.
At the beginning of the week (or month) we recommend that you take a look at the upcoming Live Coaching sessions, identify the ones that spark your interest/fit your schedule, and put them on your calendar.
One of the greatest gifts you can give to our community is by sharing the challenge you’re facing, opportunity you’re approaching, or growth that you’re seeking—and getting support from Team Optimize or our brilliant Luminary Guest Faculty.
